Tuning System
The Tuning Chip is a high-performance ECU modification that allows players to fine-tune their vehicle's engine and handling characteristics in real-time.

π Config file: shared/nitro_config.lua (Nitro Settings)
Accessing the System
To use the Tuning system, a vehicle must have a Tuning Chip installed.
Install: A mechanic must install the
tuning_chipthrough the Tuning category in the Customs menu.Access: Once installed, any player with a
tuning_tabletcan open the interface while inside the vehicle.
ECU Tuning Parameters
The Tuning Chip allows adjustment of four core performance areas. Each area has a configurable scale (multiplier) defined in Config.Tuning.
Boost
Increases raw engine drive force.
Higher acceleration and pulling power.
Gear Shifts
Reduces the time spent between gear changes.
Faster upshifts/downshifts, maintaining RPM better.
Rev Limiter
Increases the maximum possible RPM/Speed.
Higher top-end velocity.
Traction
Increases the global traction curve of the vehicle.
Better grip in corners and less wheelspin.
TCS & ESC (Stability Control)
The Tuning Chip interface includes toggles for advanced driver aids:
TCS (Traction Control System): Automatically limits engine power when wheelspin is detected, helping the car maintain grip during hard acceleration.
ESC (Electronic Stability Control): Monitors the vehicle's direction and applies individual brakes to help the driver maintain control during high-speed maneuvers or slides.
Both systems can be toggled ON/OFF independently through the Tuning Tablet.
Nitro Customization
If the vehicle has a Nitro System installed, the Tuning Tablet allows players to customize the Purge Color.
This is a visual-only modification that changes the color of the nitro spray effect.
Requires a Nitro System (
nitrous) to be installed first.
Anti-Lag & Backfire
The Tuning Tablet also provides a toggle for the Anti-Lag System (if installed).
Anti-Lag: Keeps the turbo spooled by injecting fuel into the exhaust, resulting in signature "pops and bangs" and maintained boost between shifts.
Usage: Can be toggled on/off to save fuel or reduce noise in quiet areas.
